Now available at Meininger's, Arches for Oil is a French made, Natural White, 100% cotton, 140lb. (300g), 4 deckeled edge paper specially formulated for oil painting, yet it maintains the look and feel of traditional Arches papers.

Arches for Oil is a 100% cotton paper, made on a round mould using Arches long standing expertise. Especially designed for oil painting it provides a high quality barrier: the fibers do not oxidize on contact with paint and pigments remain on the surface.

The fine grain of the paper and its semi-absorbent surface give it the same characteristics as any other media that is dedicated to this technique (canvas, canvas-profiles) including the same drying-time.

Arches for Oil allows artists to work in more convenient conditions without changing their habits. The papers absorption capacity may be reduced further by applying a coat of medium acrylic and it's natural white color may be colored in advance.
