Product Information:
Porcelaine 150 is a waterbased, thermohardening
color for decoration on china, glass, and metal. 47 Colors
are available including: 28 transparent colors, 7 semitransparent
colors, and 12 opaque colors. Outlining paint pens are
available in 10 colors. 3 mediums are made: Filler undercoat,
gloss medium, and mat medium. Once baked, Porcelaine 150
colors are resistant to water, dishwashing liquid, alcohol-type
solvents, and outside temperature variations.
Directions:
1. Clean the tile with a cotton ball soaked
in rubbing alcohol. Allow tile to dry completely.
2. Pour dime sized circles of Pebeo Porcelaine 150 paint onto the disposable
palette. Air dries the color on the palette and makes it easier to paint onto
the slick surface of the tile. Colors may be mixed on this palette as well.
3. Paint a design onto the tile. To erase a mistake, dip a Q-tip into water
and wipe away the problem. Try using makeup sponges to cover large areas. To
add detailed lines, use a outliner tool. It will add a three-dimensional look
to your tile. Please note: Keep brushes soaking in water so the paint does
not dry in them. After cleaning, dry the brush off on paper before dipping
it into a color. Extra water can dilute the paint and make it runny.
4. Let your design dry for 24 hours. Allow it more time to dry if the paint
is thick on the tile.
5. Put the tile in a cold oven. Turn the temperature to 300-325Ð F. When the
preheat light goes off in the oven, begin to time the piece. Let it bake for
35 minutes. Turn the oven off. Allow the oven and tile to cool. Remove the
tile from the oven. When cool, your fingernail should not be able to scratch
the baked color.
Please note: If
items are baked too long or at too high a temperature, they
will turn brown. It is recommended that you measure your
oven's temperature with a thermometer.
