 Wikki Stix Projects

Introduction:
Wikki Stix are wax-covered pieces of yarn that can be twisted and shaped for a variety of creative projects. The Wikki Stix greeting card can be used for any celebration like Mother's Day, birthdays, or party invitations. You can also make holiday decorations, 3-D animals or creatures, and wearable art like bracelets and eyeglasses. Wikki Stix stick to paper, walls, or itself.

Materials:
Wikki Stix
lightweight card stock or poster paper
scissors
pens or markers

Greeting Card

  1. Fold card stock in half and write a greeting on the inside
  2. Decorate the outside by sticking Wikki Stix in designs on the outside.

Vanity License Plate

  1. Using rectangular piece of paper, decorate by sticking Wikki Stix in letter and number shapes.

Holiday Fun - Decorate walls and windows for the holidays.

  1. Trace holiday designs onto paper.
  2. Hold paper up to window and press Wikki Stix in to the shape of the traced design.
  3. Peel off paper and stick Wikki Stix to wall or window.

3-D Animals and Creatures

  1. Make body of animal by wrapping Wikki stix around anything such as Styrofoam balls or your finger.
  2. Create legs, antennae, or tentacles by using individual strands. Press appendages onto body.
  3. Adorn creatures by sticking smooth objects such as buttons or beads onto body.

Wearable Art

  1. Kids can make necklaces, bracelets, rings, or eyeglasses by twisting Wikki Stix pieces together. Use many colors to symbolize friendship.
