When
stretching watercolor paper, use paper
and a board that is the same size. After
wetting your paper, fasten the paper
and board together with binder clips
spaced about every inch around the board.
To salvage a
tube of watercolor, cut open the dried
up tube and remove contents. Crush the
dried color with a mortar and pestle
until finely ground. Add water and mix
to a smooth paste consistency. Use as
is (keeping it stored in a sealed container)
or pour into an empty pan for
a pan color.
