Art
Marketing This two hour workshop will introduce artists to tips in maintaining and developing a mailing list (both postal and e-mail), developing marketing materials, creating press releases and developing a schedule for sending press, and web based opportunities and tools. An extensive packet of information (which includes a press list, sample marketing materials, lists of professional services, web addresses, sample contact letters and press releases, a gallery list for the Denver area, and a list of area resources) is available for a $15 materials fee payable to the instructor at the lecture. Jimmy Sellars began helping artists over 14 years ago when he opened his studio and gallery to the public. He is a member of the Denver Art Dealers Association, owns his own gallery Sellars Project Space, offers customized marketing and consulting services through Services for Artists and exhibits his own work internationally with galleries in the US and Holland and will be exhibiting his work in the Cherry Creek Arts Festival for the second year in July. There are many businesses out there that have been created to help artists be more profitable. However, many of these businesses typically aren't artists and they don't seem to know that the business of art is truly different from the typical business model. Jimmy Sellars (BFA), the founder of Services for Artists, has extensive experience in the art community and knows what it takes to achieve success. Visit Jimmy Sellars website Services for Artists for more information. Past Lectures: Taxes,
