Mary Morrison
Taught by Mary Morrison, a GOLDEN Working Artist, this Lecture/Demo packs a ton of valuable information in this fun, fast-paced,
and technically informative event.

Find out what's up with all those gels and mediums and discover new surfaces for drawing and painting. You will learn the difference between mineral and modern pigments and how to get the cleanest color mixes and how to extend your paint to save money. The demo also includes tips on blending, glazing, controlling dry time, mixed media practices, varnishing and lots more.

Artists of all levels will come away with fresh, new insights to feed their creative expression.

All participants receive information packets, hand-painted color charts and free sample kits.

GOLDEN has always concentrated its efforts within the niche for the professional artist. Heavy Body Acrylics was the first line of products produced by GOLDEN in 1980. These paints, with a wide breadth of unique colorants, have the ability to "stand up" and retain brush strokes on the canvas. Other popular GOLDEN products are the Fluid Acrylics, which were first created as a custom product for artists requesting a thinner, yet fully pigment-saturated paint. GOLDEN Mediums and Additives offer artists infinite control of changing acrylic colors. They range in consistency from pourable to moldable. They may be used to create glazes, extend paints, build texture, change finishes and work as a gluing agent for collages. Visit www.goldenpaints.com for more information on all their products.

Mary Morrison lives and works in Denver, Colorado. She received her BFA from Colorado State University and has worked full-time painting, teaching and exhibiting art for the past 18 years. Morrison’s work has a great sense of energy and movement. Most of her imagery is taken from natural elements and the spaces of the West. Her paintings incorporate lush, textural elements with complex, vibrant colorations. Morrison’s paintings have been collected by the State of Colorado’s Art in Public Places Program as well as many private and corporate collections.
