JOIN MELINDA LAZ FROM THE SCHOOL OF BOTANICAL ART & ILLUSTRATION AT DENVER BOTANIC GARDENS FOR THIS HANDS ON ACTIVITY!
Watercolor prints (also called watercolor monotypes) are loose, impressionistic and fun to create! The simple technique includes painting onto a prepared surface using watercolors and watercolor pencils then transferring the painting onto damp paper. In this low-tech printmaking technique, the printed image is soft and luminous, ideal for rendering natural subjects. Watch a quick demonstration then have fun creating your own prints.
For ages 10 and up
